Seventy-year-old Tova Sullivan may be retired, but she still works nightly as a janitor at the Sowell Bay Aquarium to keep herself busy. Becuse if she keeps busy she won’t have time to dwell on the mysterious disappearance of her only son thirty years ago. During her nightly shifts, she manages to befriend Marcellus, a grumpy giant Pacific octopus who holds important information about Tova’s missing son in Shelby Van Pelt’s debut novel Remarkably Bright Creatures.
