West Side Book Club: Generations Sharing Stories

Ages 6 & Up: Share a book with your child that you’ll both enjoy this summer! Westside Book Club: Generations Sharing Stories encourages sharing diverse perspectives, connecting generations, and reading as a family. You can read the book aloud, listen to it together, or take turns reading. 

In Barbara O’Conner’s Wonderland, free-spirited Mavis Jeeter wants a real best friend but she’s never lived in one place long enough to find one—until her mother uproots them again and takes a job as a housekeeper for the Tully family. There, Mavis meets Rose, the Tullys’ anxious daughter who doesn’t fit in with other girls her age. Though the two girls are very different from one another, they quickly join forces when they learn that Mr. Duffy, the gatekeeper for the upscale community where they live, has lost his beloved pet.
