On April 27, 1992, Terre Haute local Michael McCown became the fourth of six victims of an unknown serial killer whose month-long spree ranged from Indianapolis to Wichita, Kansas. In 1993, two eerily similar deaths and an assault occurred in Texas, while another death occurred in Terre Haute in 2001 when Billy Brossman was assaulted at his workplace.

Award-winning journalist and author Bob Cyphers embedded himself in a 2021 task force that convened to investigate this series of unsolved murders. Join Cyphers and Detective Brad Rumsey of the THPD Violent Crime Unit to discuss Cyphers’ 2024 book about the investigation, Dead End: Inside the Hunt for the I-70 Killer.
