Are you responsible for bringing together a diverse group of people? Do you need to discuss how others view their identities, manage their emotions, achieve goals, or make responsible decisions? Your understanding of yourself and your feelings about other people can set the tone for how you conduct these conversations. Learn and practice the skills necessary to engage in healthy communication with individuals from differing backgrounds—whether you’re working in a professional environment or navigating conversations with students. A light snack will be provided.
This workshop is presented by the Peace Learning Center. Teachers interested in attending may wish to seek approval from the supervisors to earn PGP points. Librarians may earn Library Education Units for attending these workshops. Please contact programs@vigolibrary.org for details.
