Update: Due to circumstances beyond our control, this program has been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Ages 16 & Up: Your interactions can be influenced by attitudes and behaviors that you’re not even aware you have—and these can impact how you view your community, others, and yourself. In this interactive and eye-opening workshop, you’ll learn how to recognize biases, explore how these biases impact your communication with those around you, and discuss how to be more accepting and understanding of others.

This workshop is presented by the Peace Learning Center. Teachers interested in attending may seek approval from the supervisors to earn PGP points. Librarians may earn Library Education Units for attending these workshops. Please contact programs@vigolibrary.org for details.

This program is supported by the National Endowment of the Arts. The National Endowment for the Arts Big Read—a partnership with Arts Midwest—broadens our understanding of our world, our neighbors, and ourselves through the power of a shared reading experience. Showcasing a diverse range of themes, voices, and perspectives, the NEA Big Read aims to inspire meaningful conversations, artistic responses, and new discoveries and connections in each community. Learn more about the NEA Big Read at www.arts.gov/initiatives/nea-big-read.
