Purpose of Meeting
A Century Forgotten A Century Restored is a preservation and planning initiative focused on reviving the early 20th-century park and boulevard system designed by landscape architect George E. Kessler for Terre Haute, Indiana. After the rediscovery of original blueprints, the project seeks to restore, digitize, and reinterpret Kessler’s vision to guide future urban planning and park development. By reconnecting the city’s historic green spaces and civic corridors, the project aims to honor Terre Haute’s past while shaping a more connected and resilient public realm for future generations. Please mark your calendars for September 30th and join us for an Open House at the Vigo County Public Library beginning at 5:30 p.m.
