Program Description

Event Details

Ages 11-15: Safe Sitter® is a single-day, nationally certified course that teaches teenagers safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills, and appropriate responses to medical emergencies in an interactive format. In a Safe Sitter® class, students learn through lively discussion, practice, and role-play about a variety of topics, including babysitting ethics and etiquette and the business aspects of babysitting. Lunch will be provided to participants. Parent permission slips and photo releases are required prior to the start of class. Visit the Youth Services Department at the Main Library to complete the forms or call CASY at 812.232.3952 to receive the forms.
