Live Dungeons & Dragons

Come experience the excitement of Dungeons & Dragons as a group of VCPL staff members and a special guest from the Terre Haute community go on a Wild Sheep Chase! The session, organized by Dungeon Master and Vigo County Public Library Executive Director Jordan Orwig, will feature a party of adventurers whose relaxing afternoon is interrupted by a frantic sheep with a fierce determination to get their attention. Join us for an adventure filled with magical hijinks, live dice rolling, rambunctious entertainment, and everything that makes D&D great! 

Jordan Orwig is the Executive Director at the VCPL and has been a public librarian for over a decade. Furthermore, he has had a love for sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and all things weird his entire life. He has organized multiple library conventions as well as presented on how librarians can organize and run their own at both the state and national level. When he's not reading, running, or playing video games, he's trying to find ways to squeeze in at least one more D&D session (much to the annoyance of his family). 

Jared Ell is a husband, dad, community member, and community evangelist through small business. Jared's work at the Indiana Small Business Development Center allows him to support small businesses and entrepreneurs by connecting them to resources, support, and advisors that help them improve our world. Jared has been playing games since getting a Nintendo Entertainment System for "his" first birthday, and enjoys crushing real life strength checks working out with his family, including his favorite weights, his two boys.
