Program Description

Event Details

Originally used to create offerings for altars, ikebana is the traditional Japanese art of using flowers, leaves, and stems in differently-shaped vases to achieve an austere but beautiful arrangement. Japan-America Society of Indiana’s Project Coordinator Minori Abel will demonstrate the techniques used in ikebana and assist you in creating your own arrangement. Materials will be provided.
