Ages 0–9: Folktales are more than just entertaining—they can provide valuable insights into another culture’s customs and history, broaden your child’s view of the world, and help them develop a better appreciation for their own heritage! Yukiko Takahashi, Japanese Program Coordinator and Instructor from Indiana State University, will introduce your child to Momotarō and his animal friends, explain who first gave the Jizo their straw hats, and explore the fate of the fisherman Urashima Tarō through stories, discussion, and examples of authentic Japanese materials and books.
