Ages 16 & Up: On April 10, 1912, the RMS Titanic began its maiden voyage with every promise of luxury and safety. Just five days later, the “unsinkable” ship lay at the bottom of the Atlantic, taking nearly fifteen hundred lives with it. The sinking revealed fatal flaws in design, construction, and safety practices that reshaped maritime travel. Join ISU and Rose-Hulman professor Leroy Franklin for a look at the contributing factors behind the disaster and the lessons they continue to teach.
