Event Details
Whether you’re caring for yourself or helping a loved one, managing diabetes can feel like it requires constant vigilance. But what is diabetes and how can you live with it without sacrificing your quality of life? At Diabetes Education & Nutrition, Union Hospital’s Certified Community Health Worker Amanda Perry will discuss how your diet impacts your blood sugar, explain which foods to avoid, and offer suggestions for foods you can eat that could help lower your A1C and glucose levels.
Amanda Perry has a B.S. in Kinesiology and has a passion for community. She has worked to help community members connect to area resources, overcome barriers to healthcare access, and works to bridge gaps in healthcare to ensure quality healthcare for all individuals in the Wabash Valley.
